Founder Clarity
The founder left the engagement with a clearer understanding of who the work was best positioned to serve and a stronger framework for evaluating future ideas against that audience.
Faith-Based Women’s Empowerment Coach*
A faith-based women’s empowerment coach had an established podcast and a growing desire to serve more intentionally. With a presence centered on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook, ETL helped clarify who the work was for, translate that clarity into more focused communication, and identify a live experience that gave the founder a new way to bring the audience together.
01 / The Business Challenge
When ETL began working with the founder, the coaching practice and a YouTube-based podcast were already in motion. The podcast centered on navigating transitions through a faith-based lens, while Instagram and Facebook supported the broader public presence. Even with that foundation, there was still uncertainty around who the work was best positioned to serve and how that audience should shape what came next.
Social communication was still sporadic, and the questions underneath it were strategic. Who should the work be speaking to? Which parts of the audience were most connected to the mission? What should growth look like if it stayed aligned with the founder’s strengths and the way the work naturally created connection?
The engagement began with audience clarity so future growth decisions could rest on a stronger foundation.
02 / Who Had to Move
Across a focused series of strategy sessions, ETL worked with the founder to narrow a broad audience into a smaller set of priority groups connected to the offer, the mission, the podcast and the ways trust was already forming around the work.
The work looked beyond demographics. We explored how people were finding the founder, what they were coming for, where the strongest connections were forming, and which opportunities felt most aligned with how the founder wanted to lead.
That clarity gave the founder a more useful lens for deciding what to talk about, where to spend time and which ideas were worth developing further.
03 / From Strategy to Activation
Once the founder had a clearer picture of who the work was for, that clarity began to shape how the brand showed up.
The founder became more consistent on Instagram and more intentional about speaking to the audiences identified through the engagement. ETL provided practical guidance for audience-led messaging and social visibility, while the founder continued managing YouTube, Instagram and Facebook independently.
The sessions also surfaced a larger opportunity. Bringing the audience together in person.
That idea became the founder’s first small-format live experience. ETL also provided guidance on what audience information and signals to collect so the gathering could help validate assumptions and inform future decisions. The founder later carried the concept into a second live experience.
How the Work Moved
The engagement created a strategic foundation the founder could apply across communication, community building and new experiences.
The coaching offer and podcast were already in market, but audience definition and communication were still taking shape.
The founder gained a more focused lens for content, outreach and growth decisions.
The founder moved from having no established live format to using the audience work to launch and repeat an in-person experience.
What Changed
The founder left the engagement with a clearer understanding of who the work was best positioned to serve and a stronger framework for evaluating future ideas against that audience.
Social communication became more consistent and more intentional. The founder had clearer audiences in mind when deciding what to say, where to show up and which conversations were worth continuing.
The audience work helped surface a live gathering as a meaningful next step. The founder moved from having no established live format to launching a first audience-centered experience.
The first gathering created a format the founder chose to use again. A second live experience followed, extending an idea that first surfaced during the original strategy work.
